Georgetown City Center
The Georgetown City Center is a unified, municipal campus for the City of Georgetown and the City’s award winning Library. Creating a seamless and cohesive campus that acts part public park, part city workplace and part event space was the focus of this project. Reclaiming an alleyway and parking lot between the Library and Historic Light and Water Works Building, a central plaza with stage and event lawn creates an extension of the popular town square a block away.
With an imaginative play area, art, and custom water features laid into an efficient minicipal campus, the plaza can be enjoyed by families, city employees and boasts ample space for large concerts and festivals.
