Central Adams Master Plan

As a gateway into the downtown core of Temple, Texas the Central and Adams project envisions a new and enhanced street presence in and out of the heart of the city.

While trying to maintain the ability of these two major roadways to function safely and efficiently for vehicular traffic, care was given to address the needs of pedestrians as well. New and enhanced streetscapes with planting buffers, street lighting, and widened accessible sidewalks all come together in this plan to create a unique and safe experience for Temple residents and visitors.

Along Central and Adams, areas for infill development are planned as opportunities for enhanced building aesthetics, function, and street presence. Mixed-use buildings are used in many of these infill opportunities to increase activity through provision of more housing and storefronts.
