Heritage Park Master Plan

The City of Belton purchased an adjoining 85 acres of the Leon Valley Golf Course along the northern border allowing for the expansion of Heritage Park. The master plan was tasked with developing signature community space along with programming additional athletic fields and supporting infrastructure.

This site has a vast expanse of open space exhibiting ideal character found in the adjacent Leon River, a pecan orchard, numerous grand oaks, and sweeping vistas.

The remaining property capitalizes on the ample room to provide flexible lawns that allow for a variety of recreation opportunities to meet vast user groups from within Belton and the greater area. This effort laid the groundwork for the City to be awarded a significant grant from TPWD to enable this vision to become a reality.
