Santa Fe Plaza & Market Trail

As part of the City of Temple’s Downtown Master Plan and Trails Master Plan, Santa Fe Plaza and Market Trail are catalyst projects to fill a need for active public spaces in downtown Temple. Once a brownfield, full of abandoned asphalt and building remnants that disregarded the Historic Santa Fe Depot, the city desired to reclaim its downtown core by adding two city office buildings that embrace a large public plaza and open green.

Covey’s designs focused on blending private and public spaces, merging new and historic elements, and allowing for flexible and dynamic programming.
